Queen (picture above) are a British rock band formed in London in 1970. The band members names were ‘Freddie Mercury (Lead Vocalist), John Deacon (Bass Guitarist), Roger Taylor (Drummer) and Brian May ( Electric Guitarist).

They sang songs like ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. They were an extremely famous band and still are to this day. They made history when they released a 6 minute song which was unheard of the 70’s. That song was Bohemian Rhapsody. They added different genres into that song such as pop/rock section, operatic section and a rock section. They were and still are a very talented group. Sadly Freddie Mercury passed away from AIDS on November 24th 1991. The life story of Freddie Mercury alongside the band ‘Queen’ in the film called ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ that was released on DVD on 2nd March in Ireland.

Talking heads were an American band formed in New York City in 1975. They were active until 1991. The band members names were ‘David Byrne’, ‘Chris Frantz’, ‘Tina Weymouth’, and ‘Jerry Harrison’. They released songs such as a ‘Psycho Killer’, ‘Life During Wartime’, and ‘I Zimbra’. They were a very famous band in the 1970’s onwards.

‘The Bee Gees’ were a pop group and they were formed in 1958. They were all brothers and their names are ‘Barry Gibb’, ‘Robin Gibb’, and ‘Maurice Gibb’. They released songs like ‘Stayin’ Alive’, ‘Night Fever’, and ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. They were a very successful band in the early 1970’s. They then became the performers of the disco music era in the mid and late 1970’s.

‘Barry Gibb’ is the only brother alive to this day. ‘Robin Gibb’ passed away May 20th 2012. ‘Maurice Gibb’ passed away January 12th 2003.
