1960’s bands
Hi all and welcome back to my sixth blog! Today I’m going to be talking about bands from the 1960’s male bands especially. Society began to change in the 1960’s it was an era of protest. There was the Civil Rights Movement, Hippies and the Vietnam war. There’s a few bands I’d like to talk about, The first band is Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons (picture above) . They had great hits like ‘Sherry’, ‘Walk Like A Man ’ and ‘Working My Way Back To You’. The bands style was rock, pop and disco. They were very popular in the 1960’s especially by their female followers.
‘The Temptations’ were also very popular during this time. They were a group in the 1960’s. They released great songs like ‘My Girl’, ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ and ‘I Want A Love I Can See’. The bands style was rhythm and blues, soul music, funk and Psychedelic soul.
‘The Beatles’ were such a phenomenon not only through their music but by their adoring fans. They were very popular especially by young females. They sang hits like ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘Yellow Submarine’ and ‘Here Comes The Son’. They were very talented musicians. The bands style was rock and pop music.
‘Running Bear’ by Johnny Presto was a no.1 hit in the year 1960.
