Male Singers From The 1980’s
Good evening all! And welcome back to my twenty first blog. Today I’m going to be talking about male singers from the 1980’s. The male singers I’m going to be talking about are ‘Bruce Springsteen’, ‘Paul Young’, and ‘Rick Astley’.
‘Bruce Springsteen’ (His album cover for ‘Born In The USA, picture above) is an American singer-songwriter, and leader of the ‘E Street Band’. His nickname is ‘The Boss’. He’s known for his poetic lyrics, his lively stage performances, his distinctive voice and his Jersey background. He sang songs like ‘Born In The USA’. ‘Dancing In The Dark’, and ‘Cover Me’.
‘Paul Young’ is an English musician, singer and songwriter. He turned into a teen idol in the 1980’s after gaining fame from his solo success. He has songs like ‘Wherever I Lay My Hat’, ‘Love Of The Common People’, and ‘Everytime We Go Away’.
‘Rick Astley’ is an English radio personality and a singer songwriter. He sang songs like ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, ‘Together Forever’, and he done a cover of one of Nat King Cole’s famous song ‘When I Fall In Love’.
One of the top hits for the male singers of the 1980’s was ‘I Should’ve Known Better’ by Jim Diamond which spent 1 week at no.1 on 1st December 1984.
